What are the 12 birth flowers by month?
January carnation, February violet, March daffodil, April daisy, May lily of the valley, June rose, July larkspur, August gladiolus, September aster, October marigold, November chrysanthemum and December narcissus, following The Old Farmer’s Almanac. Each of our birth flower necklaces is engraved with that month’s flower.
Why do some months have two birth flowers?
Many lists give each month a primary flower and a secondary one, often because the first choice does not bloom everywhere that month. The Old Farmer’s Almanac lists two flowers for every month except November. Our necklaces feature each month’s main flower.
What are the birth flower necklaces made of?
Each necklace is laser-engraved on 316L stainless steel and comes as a heart or a slim bar in 18K gold PVD, 18K rose gold PVD or polished stainless steel. It arrives pre-engraved with the month’s flower, so there’s nothing to personalize.
What is the difference between a birth flower and a birthstone?
A birth flower is a bloom tied to a birth month and its traditional meaning; a birthstone is a gemstone tied to the same month. Our necklaces are engraved with the birth flower design rather than set with a stone.
